Ashfield Harmony, a Kirkby-based mixed voice choir, are staging a Grand Tour Of Europe concert at Ashfield School, Kirkby, on Saturday, 15th November.
The 50-strong choir has been performing in Ashfield for more than 50 years and secretary Carolynne Bennett said they were always keen to present something new.
“Amongst many pieces, Italy will be featured with the beautiful Nella Fantasia and Time to Say Goodbye, the stirring music of Bizet’s Carmen will give the evening a Spanish flavour and everyone will be brought safely home with lovely English melodies, including a new piece for the choir from John Rutter,” she said.
A young string quartet from Derby, the Derventio Quartet, will also play.
Tickets for the 7pm concert are £7 and can be reserved for collection on the door by phoning Carolynne on 01773775176.
