Imagine you could take a Magical Mystery Tour back in time to revisit the sound of The Beatles. Well now you can with Lennon Retrospective (Gaz Keenan and backing band) at Mansfield Palace Theatre on Saturday 21 May.

Lennon Retrospective is a two-hour show brought to you by John Lennon Tribute UK and it promises to take you on a journey through John Lennon’s popular back catalogue, serving up classic solos and early Beatles classics penned by Lennon himself. Songs include Jealous Guy, Working Class Hero and A Day in the Life – all of which you can watch as a preview on www.johnlennontribute.com/music before you buy your tickets.

Gaz himself has over 25 years of experience in the industry, and his passion for The Beatles, in particular Lennon, has given birth to this particular concept. A lookalike and soundalike, Gaz featured heavily in the ITV show The Big Audition which he went on to win. He tells us:

“Highlights of this tour so far have included a mini stage invasion, a duet with a member of the audience and a solo recreation of the rooftop concert on top of Stratford Playhouse porch roof followed by a walkabout busk around the town with a stream of followers. I’m looking forward to seeing what Mansfield has for me!”

Gaz’s ability to recreate John’s soulful vocals alongside passionate guitar and piano work is clear to see on stage. Add to that the many costume changes, uncanny mannerisms and caustic wit, and you have a show as close to the real thing as you can Imagine.
