Anyone with a little time to spare who is considering volunteering is being urged to think about helping Age Concern Mansfield.

It runs three day centres catering for the elderly and a local friendship club.

The three centres are situated on Champion Crescent, off Westfield Lane; Selwyn Street, off Southwell Road; both in Mansfield, and Dundee Drive, Mansfield Woodhouse.

The friendship club serves light refreshments and is situated at the rear of the Old Meeting House at the side of B+M in Mansfield town centre.

The centres prepare meals, play bingo, hold raffles and take the occasional trips out.
