The Corner House Trust, which runs a care home for people with learning disabilities based in Mansfield, has received an award of £360 from The Mansfield Building Society’s Community Support Scheme towards the cost of providing six art class sessions at Mansfield Museum.

Jo Hardwick, of The Corner House, said: “The classes are vital for residents to meet new friends, increase social skills and open up a new social circle for them.”

The Mansfield’s branch superviser, Carole Dallison, pictured with residents, said “These type of clubs are essential for our local community and provide enjoyment through learning new skills in a social environment.”
