Technology begins with tea

EE have partnered up with Age UK to create EE National Techy Tea Party.

The EE store in Four Seasons Shopping Centre will be holding an in-store event on Tuesday, 9th September to help shoppers get connected.

EE staff will be on hand between 9.30am and 11am to demonstrate how technology can help people stay in touch with friends and family, make the most of hobbies and interests like travel, and access important services like utility companies without having to waste time on the phone.

Participants will have the opportunity to spend time with a member of the team who will be on hand to answer questions without using complicated jargon to help build confidence with technology. They will also be invited to bring their own phones, laptops or equipment and EE will be providing the tea and biscuits!

Ahead of the event, EE store manager Martin Jackson said: “This is a really great initiative that gives people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn about technology. We live in a world where everything is at our fingertips and we often take that for granted. The event is open for everyone to come along to learn more about technology from our in store experts over a nice cup of tea and biscuits!”

Centre manager Rebekah O’Neill added: “It’s great to see our stores supporting the local community through events like this. We are always keen to support rewarding and educational campaigns, so why not encourage someone you know to sign up for the Techy Tea Party?”
