Nottinghamshire County Council is appealing for photos of people enjoying its country parks this Easter weekend.

Rufford Abbey Country Park, Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve and Bestwood Country Park are expecting lots of visitors and the council is asking people to take their own selfie photograph of themselves and their friends and or family.

People can send in their entries via Twitter over the Easter weekend, and if taken at Rufford or Sherwood they will be in the running for a £20 gift voucher to spend at a country park gift shop or outlet at either Rufford or Sherwood.

The winning ‘Selfie’ from Bestwood Country Park or the Winding Engine House will be rewarded with a voucher for drinks and homemade cakes for four people at the Dynamo House café.

The selfie’ will be judged and the winning entry announced next week.

Coun John Knight, committee chairman for culture, at Nottinghamshire County Council said: “We hope to attract lots of people to our country parks this Easter weekend and this photo appeal will add a little more fun. There are a wide range of activities for people to enjoy.”
