Ravenshead Village Hall was the venue as Mansfield Triathlon Club members celebrated their achievements at the club’s annual presentation evening.

In the juniors category, Evie Clifton was awarded Tristar of the Year with Freya Barton-Wallace in second place and Ruby Gregory third.

Chloe Cassidy took the Coaches Award and Junior Competitor of the Year was Charlotte Alcock.

The Simon Crofts Award (formerly Juniors’ Junior) was won by Evie Clifton.

In the adult section, Female Athlete of the Year was Debs Kerry, who was also named Club Champion.

Male Athlete of the Year was Chris Shooter, who also received the Achiever of the Year trophy.

The Club Person award went to Seamus Allison.

After the presentation night several club members competed in the Sherwood Pines Festive Races event.

In freezing and misty conditions, Evie Clifton won the children’s one-mile race, finishing in 6mins 26secs to round off a fine year.

In the off-road duathlon (5km run, 15km bike ride, 2.5km run) Seamus Allison was third in 1hr 24mins and 11secs, and Cormac Allison finished in 1hr 24mins and 38secs — for both it was their first race since before the pandemic.

Rachel O’Shea completed the course in 2hrs 42mins and 11secs.
