Mansfield Town FC has won another award for the experience it provides fans at One Call Stadium.

The Stags were named League Two winners of the Away Fan Experience for the 2019-20 season by the English Football League (EFL).

It followed another accolade for the Stags, who were crowned the division’s Family Club of the Year in 2019, and received a Gold Award for family excellence the following year.

Stags came out on top for the latest award after each club in the division was assessed on the matchday experience offered to visiting supporters — when fans were allowed inside football stadia.

The EFL said the Stags excelled at each touchpoint of the away fan journey.

The report added: “Mansfield Town’s latest Away Fan Experience report is yet another example of the noticeable culture of engagement that has prevailed for some time now at the club.

“The stewarding was some of the best ever seen. Common sense applied and stewards knew how to use engagement to take the sting out of situations. They treated everybody like adults.”

The report also highlighted a clear, strategic commitment to away fan engagement, as well as the welcome provided to away fans, and opportunity for them to explore the Fan Zone.

The club’s supporters’ liaison officer, Danielle Hett, said: “This award signifies another leap forward for the club in engaging with all who visit One Call Stadium on a home matchday.

“Mansfield Town prides itself on being a family-friendly club and welcomes everyone through its doors.

“We have a fine team on the pitch, and that is matched by the team off the field, including our kiosk staff and stewards who have contributed significantly to enhancing the overall matchday experience at One Call Stadium.

“We’re greatly looking forward to welcome back supporters, both home and away, to One Call Stadium when it is safe to do so.”
