Stags manager signs new contract

Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray has signed a contract with the club.

The Stags’ chairman John Radford and Adam Murray had verbally agreed a new contract in May this year.

The length of contract has not been revealed.

“Obviously contracts will be kept private between the manager and the club, but I am pleased with the contract he has signed, as is Adam,” said chairman John Radford.

“I have a lot of confidence in Adam. I trust him and I feel he trusts me. I have a lot of faith in him and we have a really good working relationship.

“Adam and I spoke at the beginning of the season about the contract. We have both been very busy and this has been the first moment we’ve both had to put pen to paper. We’ve done exactly what we said we’d do and have honoured our word, [the delay] has been a time issue.

“It’ [provides] security on both sides,” he added.
