More than £4,000 was raised for Mansfield and Ashfield sporting causes at a Question Of Sport-style quiz night.

The annual event was staged by The Armchair Club at Mansfield Town Football Club.

The club, which has been running since 1982, helps to raise money to support sporting activities through clubs and individuals in the area.

It is run by a group of local businessmen and sports fans who arrange fundraising events throughout the year.

The sports quiz, hosted by Bill Taylor, was won by a team from Andrew Saunders Insurance for the fourth time in six years.

During its 33 years The Armchair Club has raised more than £200,000 for sports groups and sportsmen and women in the district.
