The Armchair Club, a Mansfield-based group that helps local sportspeople, clubs, and groups, has been thanked for donations through its Ambitious Athlete Awards scheme.

King Edward Primary School, Mansfield, said the money would enable youngsters to continue taking part in their community sports clubs.

Gemma Goddard, PE coordinator at the school, said: “We would like to thank Nicki Biggs (Mansfield School Games organiser) and The Armchair Club for providing funding opportunities for our children to play sports in the local community.

“This funding will contribute towards monthly training, match fees, and kits required to play their chosen sports.”
