Mansfield’s Petanque club will be staging this year’s Home Nations Championship from 9th-10th August, when up to 40 teams from England, Wales and Scotland will gather at Titchfield Park.

The club was selected to host the prestigious event after the English Petanque Association visited the Mansfield District Council-run park, which has 15 pistes (playing pitches).

Established four years ago, the club attracts 55 members of all ages, who play up to five times a week in the summer months and regularly take part in competitions.
