Mansfield Town player assistant manager Adam Murray has been linked by the media to the vacant manager’s job at Tamworth.
The Conference North side parted company with manager Dale Belford last week after sliding into the relegation zone and Murray has been touted as a possible replacement in national and local media.
Tamworth chairman Bob Andrews said the club had received a “good number” of applications, but had not spoken to any candidate.
King’s Lynn boss Gary Setchell, a former Lambs player, has also been mentioned as a possible new manager by the Tamworth Herald.
