Meden School student Jessica Lake won all three of her events in the first of the four match Nottinghamshire Mini-League.

Jessica claimed three personal bests in the under-13 80-metre hurdles (12.6secs), the shot (6.92m) and the high jump (1.23m).

Swimmer Elliot Clogg had a successful week at the British Championships in London.

He qualified for seven events, but chose to swim in only five and made the final for each.

Elliot secured second places in the 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke and 50m freestyle. He finished fourth in the 200m freestyle and seventh in the 100m freestyle.

He broke the Yorkshire Boys’ Long Course Record and narrowly missed the 100m backstroke record.

Elliot is now waiting to hear if he has been selected for the GB team for the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tblisi, Georgia in July.
