Mansfield Town 0-0 Wycombe Wanderers

Unlucky Mansfield dominated a home for the second successive week, but were again denied victory by outstanding defending.

The Stags hit the post twice in five first half minutes and might have scored five times in first half injury-time against the League Two leaders.

Vadaine Oliver, Billy Kee and Matty Blair were all denied by last-ditch defending, while Oliver headed against the post and Michael Raynes fired against the woodwork.

The keeper’s outstanding saves kept out Raynes’ header and turned away a fierce Oliver shot as Wycombe extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches.

The Stags, still in relegation trouble, ended a run of three successive points with the draw, but were fortunate in the sixth minute of injury time when Wycombe substitute Matt McCLure shot tamely at keeper Adam Smith when clean through.
