Mansfield Town fan Craig Ploughman has been named the Sky Bet League 2 Fan of the Month for September.

Accounts clerk Craig and colleagues from the law firm where he works raised over £700 in a charity run in mewmory of Mansfield fan Lisa Lodder, who lost her battle against cancer earlier this year.

Craig said: “I am now planning to run the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon for Emma Stamp.

“Emma was a good friend and also a big Stags supporter who lost her life in a car accident at the age of 23.”

Mansfield Town chairman John Radford said: “The club is proud of Craig for his sterling efforts in raising money in honour of both Lisa Lodder and Emma Stamp.

“He is a deserved winner of this award and everyone at the Stags would like to commend him for his endeavours.”
