Mansfield-based Swirlforce Commercial Decorating has re-painted the external woodwork at Debdale Park Charitable Trust, Mansfield Woodhouse, as part of its commitment to helping good causes.

It provided decorators and equipment free of charge to support the youth sports centre.

A spokesman said: “Along with the support of the Dulux Decorator Centre staff, we feel we have contributed to making it feel like a better place to be for the boys and girls from the various teams that use the park.

“It has also benefitted the wider community who may use the facilities, too.”

In the past Swirlforce has helped many other groups, including Riding for the Disabled and Barnardo’s.

It also helped to put things right on the Channel 4 television show Cowboy Builders.

Now the company is working on a new feature for its website – www.swirlforce.co.uk – that would enable local registered charitable organisations to submit details of their requests for redecoration help.

These would be assessed for suitability and voted for by Swirlforce employees, who would then provide their services and/or products free to the organisation deemed to be most worthy at that time

The spokesman added: “We intend to launch this initiative in the coming weeks, so urge registered charities to keep visiting our site www.swirlforce.co.uk to apply.”
