Community football nets £5,000

Posted onPosted on 17th Sep

Education recruitment specialists Teachers UK has donated £5,000 to Mansfield Town Football in the Community (FITC), supporting the work it carries out in schools and the wider community.

Based at Mansfield’s I Centre, Teachers UK has been sponsoring the charitable organisation since 2014.

Louise Hamby, branch manager at Teachers UK, said they were delighted to help. “Not only do they support children through school projects, they also reach out to the wider community with a variety of opportunities and events.

“Our relationship with FITC allows us to give back to the children and people of Mansfield, which is something we have always been keen to do.

“It brings us immense pleasure to be a part of that and to work alongside a great bunch of people at FITC who have a passion for what they do, and work extremely hard to support everyone they work with.”

Head of Community at Mansfield Town FITC, Mark Hemingray, said: “Teachers UK are our main sponsors and present a cheque to us each September for £5,000 and also award our mascot day experiences to school children throughout the year.

“Their sponsorship helps us to continue working with people aged from five right up to 70, providing access to football, fitness and a healthy lifestyle. It’s a good relationship because Teachers UK and their work in schools integrates well with the work we do with children and we appreciate their continued support.”
