Mansfield Town announced on Monday that winger Louis Briscoe has left the club after being told his contract would not be renewed.

The 26-year-old, who joined the club on the same day as goalkeeper Alan Marriott in January 2009, made 199 appearances for the Stags in all competitions.

A statement on the club’s official website said: “Everyone at One Call Stadium would like to thank Louis for his efforts and contributions whilst at the club and wish him the best of luck in the future.”
