Bell leaves Stags for League One

Mansfield Town midfielder Fergus Bell has joined Sky Bet League One side Yeovil Town.

The 24-year-old spent six months with the Stags, making 10 league starts and scoring once, in a 2-1 victory at Exeter City in September.

His departure has led to 17-year-old midfielder Joe Fitzpatrick being promoted to the first team.

“Fergus was frustrated at not being in the current squad,” said Stags’ manager Adam Murray.

“Yeovil made an enquiry about him and we have come to an agreement with them for this move to take place.

“We have a tremendous energy about the camp at the minute, with everybody committed to one goal.

“The departure of Fergus opens the door for young Joe Fitzpatrick, who is someone I rate very highly. He will travel with the rest of the squad tomorrow to Carlisle.”

The club thanked Bell for his efforts during his stay at One Call Stadium and wished him the best of success in his future career.

Bell could make his debut for Yeovil on Saturday in their match at Peterborough United.
