The Armchair Club, a group of Mansfield businessmen who help raise and distribute financial support to benefit local sports people, presented £250 to eight-year-old Lyla Easom at the Mansfield Sports Recognition Awards.

Lyla takes part in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has won a medal at all six competitions she has contested — three bronzes, two silvers and one gold.

One of the bronze medals came at the European Junior Championship.

The cheque was presented by Armchair Club members Mike Collins, Martyn Knox, Andy Tyler and Paul Cook.
