Showroom a window of opportunity

Mansfield-based windows and doors supplier Integra Windows is gearing up for its next phase of growth after opening a new customer showroom.

Founder and managing director Michael Irwin started the business with his wife, Gill, from their Mansfield home in 2016, supplying energy-efficient uPVC, aluminium, and composite windows and doors to DIY and trade customers.

The business grew quickly and it moved into the Mansfield Innovation Centre in 2021, taking on its first full-time employee, sales manager Jim Wilson.

A year later Ethan Holmes joined, with support from the Government’s Kickstart Accelerator programme. Ethan has since gone on to become Integra’s full-time sales adviser.

Integra secured two growth grants — which helped to fund marketing support, telesales training, and a new website — before moving to bigger premises in the centre.

It has since developed a 2,000sq ft unit on Hamilton Way into a purpose-built customer showroom with office space, which opened recently and gives people the opportunity to discuss their renovation projects and view Integra’s full range of windows and doors before they buy.

Michael said: “Opening our new showroom marks the start of the next exciting chapter of our growth journey, which has seen us develop from a home-based business into one of the region’s leading suppliers of quality doors and windows to the trade and domestic markets.

“We’re a local company and proud of our Mansfield roots. We serve local customers, employ local people, and support local suppliers. Having a showroom in the heart of Mansfield is a testament to this and gives us the platform on which to achieve our ambitious plans for future growth.

“The industry’s changing. There’s more focus than ever before on sustainability and energy-efficient homes, and we can help customers meet these needs with high-quality products that look great, while reducing their environmental impact.”
