The Plastek UK management team hosted a visit by Mansfield mayor Andy Abrahams and the chief executive of Mansfield District Council, Adam Hill, to its Forest Town base.

The business said it was proud of its strong links with the local community and the half-day visit provided an opportunity for the local authority leaders to learn more about the company, its business activities, and the considerable amount of support its people provide to the wider community every year.

Andy and Adam were interested in the success of Plastek UK’s outreach programmes into schools, which have been successful in introducing young people to the possibilities of a career in cutting-edge manufacturing.

The visitors were also keen to learn about how they can support the company with future collaborations, including being part of key networking groups for manufacturing in the area, the assistance they can provide in raising vital manufacturing issues at government meetings, and how they can showcase and promote Plastek UK on their media platforms.
