Severn Trent fund helps Forest Town project

Posted onPosted on 30th Apr

Forest Town Nature Conservation Group is among the good causes to benefit from the first year of funding from Severn Trent’s Community Fund.

The fund has supported 93 Midlands-based community and charity-based projects and awarded more than £1.5m, on top of the £1m donated via the company’s Emergency Coronavirus Fund last year.

The supported projects will help see more than 160 acres of environment enhanced, benefits to nearly 600,000 people in the community, as well as over 80 local community spaces improved.

Across Nottinghamshire alone the fund awarded £161,766 to 11 projects ranging in sizes, all of which will benefit the local community and environment in some way.

The Forest Town Nature Conservation Group will spend the money it has received on its Spawn On The Maun project.
