Rotary award for football volunteer

Posted onPosted on 13th Dec

Grassroots football volunteer Graham Hall has had his many years of service to the sport recognised by two awards.

Graham, who has been involved in local football for more than 40 years, was named John Slater Volunteer of the Year at the Mansfield Sports Recognition Awards (see page 22), when it was also revealed that he had been awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship Award by Mansfield Rotary.

Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary in 1905 and the fellowship award recognises someone who has gone above and beyond to help the community.

Graham was unable receive the fellowship at the sports awards, but Kelvin Bowman, Mansfield Rotary president, caught up with Graham at Meden Vale Colts FC’s Christmas dinner at the Greendale Oak pub, Cuckney, to present the fellowship.
