Recycling boosts charity club

A Ravenshead financial firm is recycling used printer and photocopier cartridges, and old mobile phones, to support an older people’s club.

Adcock Financial, whose office is located in Ravenshead shopping precinct, has acting a collection point since February, raising more than £180 for the Cornwater Club.

The club meets three times a week to provide activities, stimulation and friendship for older residents of Ravenshead, Blidworth and neighbouring communities.

Melissa Blythe, marketing manager, said: “We’re grateful to the staff at Adcock Financial for their support; the monies they raise go towards club funds. We also thank the public for taking the time and effort to drop off their items.”

Haidee Watson, staff member at Adcock Financial, said they chose to help the club because her grandmother, Nora Hallam, had been a member for many years.

Anyone wishing to donate used cartridges or old mobile phones should take them to Adcock Financial, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
