Award-winning Mansfield firm Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies is celebrating a record-breaking start to 2015.

The Anglia Way-based company had its best January and February and hopes to have increased its turnover by 50 per cent in the financial year.

Owner Malcolm Hall (pictured) highlighted the firm’s online strategy, which has led to it marketing 275 leading brands and boasting more than 350 suppliers.

He said: “Online sales have increased significantly with month-on-month improvements in most of the key metrics.

“Taking the decision to work with an industry-leading SEO and Google Adwords specialist has been one of the key elements.”

Headline figures for February saw the firm receive more than 500 orders; export up to £105,000-worth of products and dispatch more than 800 orders — in addition to it its best turnover and biggest monthly profit.

Hall-Fast exports to 82 countries and has generated more than £800,000 in export sales since it began trading overseas in 2009.

Added Mr Hall: “Trading overseas is as easy as trading locally. Businesses would be crazy not to consider exporting.”
