Young performers from Razzamataz Theatre School, Mansfield, enjoyed the experience of a lifetime as they performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the heart of London’s West End.

The group, aged 9-16, joined forces with 11 other Razzamataz schools from around the country to perform in a special showcase production.

Claire Blower, principal of the Mansfield school based at West Notts College, said: “We couldn’t be prouder of our students. They stepped up to the challenge and delivered a fabulous performance. I’m sure it was an experience they will never forget.”

The students performed a piece inspired by Matilda the Musical, which they had been rehearsing for the past six months.
Lynn Beaumont, from the respected dramaclasses.biz website, described the Mansfield cast as: “Not so much revolting as refreshing. The students’ enthusiasm, talent, energy and passion seemed to bleed from the stage out to us all in the auditorium.”
