Home care provider Your Home Care, based in Mansfield Woodhouse, is searching for community heroes.

To celebrate its second anniversary, it wants “to give back to our wonderful community”.

The Community Heroes competition is an initiative to give back to the people who do the most for their local community.

Your Home Care is asking people across Nottinghamshire to come forward and nominate someone they feel goes above and beyond to provide support in their community – whether it be caring for a loved one, participating in charity work or being a voice in enacting change.

It said: “We regularly recognise our staff for their amazing work with our Above and Beyond Award, and now we want to know – do you know someone who deserves recognition?

“We’re giving away two theatre tickets up to the value of £50 each to two heroes in our community – and we want to hear from you about who you think should get them.

“Do you have a friend, relative or neighbour who:  Provides unpaid care and support?  Does a lot for your local community? Has had a tough time since the pandemic?

“To nominate someone to win, email [email protected] with your name, the name of the person you’re nominating, and their story – why you’re nominating them.”

Entries close on Wednesday. 20th July, and the winners will be announced on Friday, 22nd July.
