Local people are being asked to submit nominations for the Sherwood Forest Hospitals People’s Award to recognise an outstanding hospital employee who provides exceptional service above and beyond the call of duty.

Launched six years ago to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the NHS, nominations for the People’s Award can come from anyone in the communities served by King’s Mill, Newark and Mansfield Community hospitals and be for any employee of the trust.

Trust chairman Mr Sean Lyons said: “Our staff work tirelessly to deliver the highest quality care. They carry out their work with dedication, often in hugely challenging circumstances. This award is a chance for our patients to say thank you to staff members and teams who have shown exceptional compassion, kindness and skill.”

All nominations must state the full name and department of the person being nominated and the hospital. They must include the name, address and telephone number of the nominator.

The closing date for nominations is 31st July.
