Mansfield District Council has produced posters to ensure a safe and happy Halloween for all.
Residents who do not want trick-or-treaters knocking at their door can display the poster in their windows to ask youngsters not to call.
A copy of the poster is available to download and print from www.mansfield.gov.uk/notrickortreating
A limited number of posters are available from the Civic Centre reception.
Ciun Mick Barton, Portfolio Holder for Public Protection at Mansfield District Council, said: “Mansfield District Council is all for youngsters having fun at Halloween.
“We are, though, aware that some of our residents, particularly those who are elderly or vulnerable, can find trick-or-treating intimidating.
“That is why we have produced a poster for residents who do not wish to have callers this Halloween, and I would ask all trick-or-treaters to respect this.”
Wardens will be patrolling the entire District on Halloween night. To report anti-social behaviour please call Mansfield District Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens on 01623 460 144 or the Police on 101.
