Academy Transformation Trust Further Education at Sutton Academy is congratulating its essential employability skills learners who have gained jobs at The Range, a new DIY store in Sutton.

Learners attended a bespoke course, gaining customer service skills, interview techniques and personal presentation advice at the academy.

It was a partnership between Jobcentre Plus and The Range.

Thirteen learners secured jobs as retail assistants, in customer service and as warehouse operatives.

A further 13 learners at the academy made the reserve list.

A spokesman said: “We have many strong links with businesses and are happy to work in partnership offering training and developments opportunities to employees.”
