MP donates football history to charity match

Posted onPosted on 15th Aug

Mansfield MP Ben Bradley has made a donation to the Frenbot Charity Football Match auction that is raising money for the Kings Mill Toy Appeal and Once Upon A Smile.

Ben has donated a piece of Wembley history – his framed match programme from Nottingham Forest’s playoff final success that brought promotion to the Premier League, along with tickets and Royal Box passes. The MP was even able to include the Wembley pass from Forest’s owner.

There is a starting bid of £100 and the auction closes at 6pm on Wednesday, 17th August. Bids can be made on the Mansfield Charity Football Match Frenbot 2022 Facebook page.

Alongside the auction, the Frenbot Charity Football Match takes place on 21st August and tickets can be purchased here.

“I wish I could say it is an absolute pleasure to donate this but I am incredibly jealous of whoever wins it,” Ben said. “I’d like to keep it for myself! Fingers crossed it raises a lot of money for such a good cause.

“Sadly I can’t take part in this year’s game and I’m starting to take it personally that it’s always arranged on days that I’m away. However, I’m glad I’m able to support the day with this donation. Tickets are still available and only £3, so definitely go and get involved!”
