Mansfield has been shortlisted in The Great British High Street of the Year Awards market town section.

The contest, run by the Future High Streets Forum, praised the work of key stakeholders, businesses and the public, chaired by Mansfield BID, for trying to raise the profile of the town and encourage regeneration.

Organisers highlighted the efforts to boost the evening economy, the recently-awarded Purple Flag status and the free wi-fi, which it described as a model of good practice.
