Milestone for homecare provider

Posted onPosted on 7th Jul

A company set up by two friends on a mission to raise standards in homecare is celebrating its second birthday.

Mansfield-based homecare provider Your Home Care was launched in July 2020 by Scott Marsh and Paul Pitchford after varied experiences with care for close family members.

To mark the two-year milestone staff, clients, and family members gathered (above) at offices in Mansfield Woodhouse to celebrate, with refreshments and cakes made by relatives of the directors.

From humble beginnings, the organisation now employs 30 staff, and has picked up a host of awards, including New Business of the Year and Customer Focus Initiative at last year’s Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 Business Awards, and appearing in the Top 20 providers in the East Midlands on review site homecare.co.uk for two successive years.

“I’m incredibly proud of the journey we’ve been on in the last two years,” said director and co-founder Paul.

“Considering we launched in the midst of a pandemic, we’ve been able to grow quickly and achieve many of the things we set out to do, despite obvious setbacks outside of our control.

“We couldn’t have done it without the support of our clients and some of our wonderful partners in the community — to them we’re incredibly grateful.”

Your Home Care brought in an experienced management team, including Registered Care manager Denise Pitts, who was instrumental in achieving an Outstanding rating in her previous role with a UK home care provider.

“The aim is to be the number one homecare provider in Nottinghamshire,” added director and co-founder Scott.

“We’ve set ourselves up from the outset to be an outstanding organisation.”

The directors said that having recently completed its first CQC inspection, Your Home Care is eagerly awaiting the results.

“The goal has always been Outstanding. We’re overwhelmed by incredibly positive feedback from clients and staff alike. We just hope that’s reflected in our CQC assessment,” said Scott.
