Memory tree launched

The John Eastwood Memory Tree has been launched at the Four Seasons Shopping Centre, Mansfield, and will be open daily until Monday, 5th January.

The centre is working in association with their local charity of the year, John Eastwood Hospice, to provide much-needed funds for their care services this Christmas.

Shoppers are invited to write a memory of someone special on a star shaped gift tag and hang this on the Memory Tree located next to the Customer Service Desk. Shoppers will be encouraged to make a donation however small or large to the charity in exchange for their memory being hung on the tree.

John Eastwood Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with advanced or progressive disease such as cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure and other long term conditions. Holistic care is provided by consultants, nurses, clinical nurse specialists, physio, occupational and complementary therapists, a social worker, chaplain and clinical psychologist.

The services, which aim to maximise quality of life for patients and familie,s are supported by a team of voluntary staff.
