Marathon walk in memory of Cazi Farley

RAVENSHEAD man Mike Farley is taking part in the Cancer Research Shine Night Walk in London in memory of his wife Carol, who died from breast cancer.

The 26.2-mile walk on Saturday, 27th September — starting at Southwark Park at 9pm and finishing at Old Billingsgate around 6am — aims to help Cancer Research UK’s fight against breast cancer.

Mike said his wife, known as ‘Cazi’, was “my soulmate, a truly inspirational person who always had time for everyone and lived life to the full.”

Mike, who has completed two half-marathon walks and a 15-mile walk, has reached his initial £2,000 fundraising target and is now hoping to raise £10,000.

To donate go to www.just giving.com/mikefarley or text CAZI66 £10 to 70070. To donate cash or collect a sponsorship form, go to Platinum Hair, Ravenshead, or Ravenshead Post Office.

Mike said: “My thanks to Claire at Platinum Hair and Linda at the Post Office. Please dig deep, every £1 will make a difference.”
