Creative and print agency CCM Group, which has transformed its business model from supplying print and promotional products to supplying PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) — including masks, hand sanitisers and aprons — has donated hundreds of supplies for free to care homes and organisations in need.

The Mansfield business took to its online social platforms, asking the public for suggestions and nominations of where to donate the supplies to.

After an overwhelming response, CCM Group decided to share its donation between five East Midlands care homes and healthcare businesses — including Churchfield Care Home, Rainworth; Hatzfeld Care; R.E.A.L. Education to support students and their support teachers; a care home in Blidworth and a leading health care organisation working directly with the NHS to provide mental health services.

Care worker Laura Butler, from Churchfield Care Home, said: “I work at the care home for the elderly with severe dementia. We were struggling to get supplies of any PPE as there has been such a high demand.

“We really need to do our best to keep our elderly and vulnerable safe and having these hand sanitisers donated from CCM Group is brilliant for both our staff and our residents.”

CCM Group is continuing to supply care homes and health services across the nation with the vital equipment required to fight the coronavirus outbreak.

Chelsea Eadson, business development manager at CCM Group, explained: “The high volume of care homes and health care services struggling to source PPE is extremely worrying, and therefore it’s been rewarding to be able to offer our help.

“I have been liaising directly with a number of different care homes and the gratitude received is truly heartwarming.

“Since our PPE initiative, my number has been added to a WhatsApp group of 250 care homes who are also in need. This came as a result of one customer being so pleased with the low prices and fast approach we had to supplying the personal protective equipment!

“Everyone at CCM would like to extend their well-wishes to the whole nation, especially the healthcare heroes fighting frontline for us and key workers who continue to work tirelessly to help the global community. These people are real life heroes!”
