Kindness is rewarded at care home

Posted onPosted on 5th Sep

HC-One’s Berry Hill Park care home in Mansfield has received a Kindness In Care Award from the company’s chief executive, Justin Hutchens, to highlight the kind care and compassion provided to residents by the team.

The awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013. It recognises the efforts of their kindest colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of residents and their loved ones.

Awards are presented to colleagues, volunteers, and whole teams within the homes that HC-One operates across the UK.

Justin nominated the team at Berry Hill Park (some of whom are pictured) for the award after receiving glowing feedback from a resident’s son, who praised staff at the home for the kind care provided to his mother.

Sally Tebbett, home manager, said: “At HC-One, we ensure that our teams go the extra mile for each and every resident and their loved ones.

“We were delighted to receive a Kindness In Care Award in recognition of all of our hard work at the home.”
HC-One managing director Liz Whyte said: “The Kindness In Care Awards programme is about recognising and celebrating colleagues who demonstrate the kindest care and the best practice that we can all learn from, and Berry Hill Park is a prime example of this.”

“Each and every day, HC-One staff do incredible work, and make such a difference to the lives of residents living in our homes. It is great to work with such inspirational, caring and kind people.”
