Have your say on market

Mansfield District Council is seeking feedback on proposals for the future layout and number of days that Mansfield Market operates.

Initial consultation was carried out last year with local businesses, market traders and shoppers to gain feedback on the market and suggestions about how it could be improved.

As a result of this consultation and work carried out by Select Commission 2, the council has drawn up a number of proposals for shoppers, the public, existing and previous traders, businesses and partners to comment on.

The survey is available online at www.mansfield.gov.uk/marketconsultation and closes on Friday, 18th April.

The feedback will be included in the final delegated decision report about the future delivery of Mansfield Market.

Coun Kate Allsop, portfolio holder for economic regeneration at Mansfield District Council, said: “This consultation is part of a wider strategy to revitalise and reinvigorate Mansfield market and we are keen to take on board the views of people who live, work and shop in Mansfield.

“For many years, the market has been a focal point of the town centre and we are working hard to make improvements so it once again becomes a community resource that Mansfield is proud of.”
