Free paint offer for residents and community groups

Posted onPosted on 15th May

Nottinghamshire residents and community groups now have more opportunities to collect free paint – thanks to the Community RePaint Nottinghamshire scheme run by Veolia (Nottinghamshire County Council’s waste contractors)

Community RePaint Nottinghamshire is hosted at Calverton, Oakfield Lane in Warsop, Newark and Beeston Recycling Centres, where reusable paint can be taken by residents for reuse – and Nottinghamshire residents, community groups and schools are able to pick up that paint free.

Free paint is available to collect on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
A collection slot must be booked in advance

For residents between April and September at slots from 6pm – 7.35pm,
book a collection slot at www.veolia.co.uk/nottinghamshire/PublicPaint

For Community Groups at slots from 9am – 12 noon, book a collection slot at: www.veolia.co.uk/nottinghamshire/CommunityGroupPaint

Richard Allen, contract logistics manager for Veolia Nottinghamshire, said: “It’s far better for paint to be reused rather than disposed of, so if you’ve never given Community RePaint a go, book a time slot and come and pick up some free paint.”

Last year Community RePaint added colour to the lives of over 316,000 people across the UK. The scheme accepts unwanted/surplus paint from Nottinghamshire residents at the recycling centres in Warsop, Newark, Beeston and Calverton.

Any tins that are at least half full of reusable paint are stored separately in the shelved reuse container and are given away for free.
