In a bid to create a little merriment amidst the coronavirus restrictions surrounding Christmas, the Four Seasons Shopping Centre team in Mansfield has launched a £100 prize competition inviting visitors to don their favourite masks and mark this strangest of years with a Covid-Christmas photo.

‘Take a Chris-Mask Selfie’ invites shoppers to snap individual or Covid-safe selfies in front of the centre’s Christmas tree and send them to the Four Seasons Facebook page for all to enjoy.

The winner of the competition will be chosen completely at random.

“Unfortunately even the simplest of our usual activities have been impacted by Covid – but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun this festive season,” said Rebekah O’Neill, Four Seasons Centre manager.

There are ‘Selfie-Zones’ marked out around the ceiling-high tree, where visitors can stand and snap themselves in their favourite masks for a Christmas memory from a year like no other!

“We hope that a collection of simple joyful photographs in these unusual times will help put a smile on faces this Christmas,” added Rebekah.

All participating selfies should be submitted to the Four Seasons Facebook Page by the end of 21st December – added in the comments section of the main competition post. An album will be created and updated throughout December and the winner randomly selected to receive the £100 prize on Christmas Eve.

Subject to Covid restrictions, Four Seasons will be open throughout the Christmas period, closing only on Christmas Day. There will be late-night shopping until 8pm on Thursday 3rd, 10th and 17th of December.
