Fear Forest success

Over the Halloween weekend, the first Fear Forest opened its doors to the public. More than 1,100 people were scared over the two nights and helped to raise money for Portland College’s appeal to build a £2m Inclusive Sports Academy.

Fear Forest was a complete Halloween entertainment attraction including three ‘scare mazes’, The Fear, Scarytales and Creepy Cottage, each with a different story and theme designed to scare, thrill and entertain.

Within the mazes the audience walked through a ‘show’ in small groups and encountered live scare actors and effects along the way.

A college spokesman said: “Thanks to the fantastic acting performances by volunteer actors from Vision West Notts, many of our visitors were scared witless.”

The Portland College campus was also filled by wandering zombies from Expressions Performing Arts Academy, who randomly chased visitors.
