Mansfield Hospitals Theatre Troupe raised £7,700 for charities through its annual pantomime, Robin Hood, at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield.

A presentation evening was held at Rainworth Village Hall as the cast and crew were joined by this year’s chosen charities to celebrate the achievements of the troupe and donate the profits back to local good causes.

Money was presented to The Clover Club, Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes, The Guardian Angels, Mansfield’s Crescent Primary School, Mansfield Music and Drama Festival, and Ashlands Care Home, Rainworth.

A donation has also been made to Forest Town Arena to thank it for its support.

The troupe said: “There are so many people who make it possible for us to do this year on year. Our generous sponsors have once again supported us to achieve this figure and we would like to thank them again for enabling us to do this.

“We would also like to thank our wonderful audience. We have great support and coming to see our panto means we can help as many local people as possible.”
