Company transforms business model to supply PPE

Posted onPosted on 20th Apr

In the past four weeks, Mansfield creative and print agency CCM Group has transformed its business model from supplying print and promotional products to supplying PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to support national large-scale organisations during the coronavirus pandemic.

CCM has already sold over four million protective masks and hundreds of thousands of hand sanitising gels to support the most vulnerable and impacted organisations during this difficult time.

Due to the sheer demand for PPE and the reliability of CCM’s robust and direct supply chain with Asia, the agency said it has been able to offer high quantities of quality PPE to the NHS, councils and large health care organisations.

CCM said feedback from a number of organisations has been that competing suppliers are taking advantage of the pandemic by charging extremely high prices for PPE. The company said is offering its antibacterial hand gels, surgical masks and aprons at a very low and competitive cost, attempting to price match companies who are struggling to source from their usual supply chain.

CCM managing director Trent Peek explained: “We received a call mid-February from a customer of ours who turned to us for help after struggling to source hand sanitiser from their usual supplier. Fortunately we were able to source them, and at a better rate than they were previously paying.

“We then realised that other companies may already be facing huge supply chain issues and potential losses because of the virus. Therefore any increase in PPE costs can have drastic effects on business, councils and most importantly the NHS.

“Fortunately, at CCM we have a strong supply chain in Asia and therefore during such a testing, uncertain time we feel it’s important to utilise our strengths to help those most in need by offering this equipment at a low and fair price. We want to try and help support the safety and wellbeing of our entire nation in whichever way we possibly can.”

Paul Quirk, commercial director at Oakdale Care Group, said: “Like the majority of healthcare providers during this unprecedented time, sourcing PPE at a standard and competitive price has been a daily search. I was given CCM’s contact details and from my first contact they were pleasant, honest and extremely helpful.

“The team has gone out of their way to ensure the processing and delivery of the PPE ordered was timely and fulfilled. I have no hesitation in recommending CCM as a professional company to work with. The level of service during this busy time has been exemplary.”

CCM Group has now set up a temporary website that includes all the details of its low cost PPE offering. To find out more information visit the website here and email [email protected] directly to place an order.
