Community spirit on show at Renfest charity event

Posted onPosted on 26th Jun

Local community group Teamvinyl, which raise money for the local community and charities, is again hosting Renfest – an annual fundraising event in Rainworth.

It will take the form of a street party on Kirklington Road, Rainworth, on Saturday, 13th July, the first street party in the village since the royal Silver Jubilee.

Fundraisers aim to buy 24-hour access defribilators for the village, which they have been working on with the Community First Responders. Rainworth Village Hall, The InkPot, Rainworth Petanque Club, The Venue and Youth Club are also backing the project and will all have activities on the day.

There will be live music throughout the event. Activities for children include fair rides, facepainting, a treasure hunt and much more.

There will also be a rock/pebble painting competition and a raffle, as well as refreshments, including real ales at The InkPot.

As a group Teamvinyl has already raised money for local charities such as the John Eastwood Hospice, the Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group, and the special care unit at Sutton’s King’s Mill Hospital; Children’s Brain Tumour Research; You Are My Sunshine; the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, and many more.
