College celebrates a month of pride

Posted onPosted on 29th Jun

Academy Transformation Trust Further Education (ATTFE) College — which has campuses in Sutton, Ollerton and Retford — organises themed months and activities for learners.

The latest saw them celebrate pride with the college organising art projects with tutor Jane Dovey, science experiments with tutor Paul Horridge, themed hair and beauty ideas, wellbeing with tutor Ken Mead and more.

Every activity starts at 8am where the college posts on its social media pages (Facebook, Facebook group, Instagram and Twitter, YouTube – @ATT_FECollege / ATTFE College in the Community).

Spokesperson for ATTFE, Charlotte Birch, said: “Many learners and community members are taking time to personally message ATTFE College to thank us for the hard work and the thought that goes into embedding themes into learning to make it exciting.

“We had already prepared the monthly themes and activities, so when Covid-19 came to light all we needed to do was adapt the activities slightly and share them virtually.

“ATTFE College is committed to equality and diversity, as both a provider of services and as an employer. Our practices and procedures aim to reflect the varied needs, expectations and culture of all members of our community.

“ATTFE College strives to raise the aspirations and achievements of the communities that it serves, providing high quality, innovative education and training for learners who are aged 16+ (including adults). We take a learner-centred approach towards education and lifelong learning opportunities that supports the learning needs of the local environment.”
