Staff and learners at Academy Transformation Trust Further Education (ATTFE), Sutton, celebrated a term’s work as learners were presented with certificates and awards in recognition of their commitment to their studies.

The college said: “Despite it being a challenging time, learners have embraced their learning with a positive attitude and engaged in a variety of different activities, such as fundraising and awareness of key cultural dates.

“Learners enjoyed celebrating within their class bubbles by participating in fun quizzes and reflecting on their learning journey so far.”

Catering and Hospitality learners cooked a Christmas buffet, whilst Horticulture learners created Christmas wreaths and table decorations.

Staff were presented with certificates for qualifications they started working towards during the coronavirus lockdown.

Katie Barrett, head of learner experience, said: “It’s been fabulous seeing how happy and proud learners have been receiving their certificates and awards. There’s been a lot to celebrate within ATTFE College this term as learners have been so committed to learning and making the most out of being able to access education during the current pandemic.”
