Local property search company X-Press Legal Services Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire has been supporting the conveyancing sector through recent sponsorships and events.

X-Press, owned by Ben Wheeler, hosted a training seminar for solicitors and conveyancing professionals, keeping them up to date with developments in the sector. The company works closely with the sector, providing expert search reports which are essential for every property transaction.

The Conveyancing Law update, delivered by Richard Snape, of Davitt Jones Bould, covered topics ranging from Help-to-Buy, Leasehold Reform and the Fire Safety Act.

Ben said: “We were pleased to host a training seminar at the beautiful Breadshall Priory, allowing the wider conveyancing sector to keep up to date with key changes in the market. It was also great to host a live event, as all our training moved online during the pandemic- it was lovely to see everyone in person, connect and share best practice.”

Ben was also pleased to sponsor the awards at the Derbyshire and District Law Society Annual Dinner. Recognising upcoming and established talent in the field, the awards celebrated the Law Student of the Year, the Junior Lawyer of the Year, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The conveyancing sector has just finished it’s busiest ever period, with the Stamp Duty Holiday causing an influx of activity in the housing market.
