Nottinghamshire County Council has partnered with out-of-home media specialist Community Partners to drive sponsorship of its roundabouts.

Businesses can advertise on branded signs at high-profile locations and do their bit for the community by paying for the maintenance of the roundabout.

The partnership enables the council to generate extra revenue for improving the highways and the new scheme includes Junction 27 of the M1 near Mansfield.

Community Partners’ work covers applying for planning permission, producing and maintaining the sponsored signs and selling the sponsorships.

Mike Brennan, Managing Director of Community Partners, said: “Roundabout advertising is highly visual and it’s there every hour of every day, all year round. It gives businesses a local presence when their would-be customers are out and about.

“We look forward to working in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council and delivering sponsorship opportunities to many local businesses in the area, including those who haven’t seen the impact of roundabout advertising before.”
